Blindfolded

I had decided to go an hour while blindfolded. I thought that it would be too hard to do anything special (or even ordinary things) so I just decided to "watch" Netflix in my room. I started out by turning on Netflix and then I went completely blind by wrapping a scarf around my head. The first few minutes everything seemed fine, and it felt like I had just closed eyes to take a nap for a minutes or something like that. It wasn't long before I realized how difficult it is, to actually keep track on what’s happening on the TV, when you can’t see anything. You have to rely solemnly on conversations and dialogs in the show to know what’s going on. At times, it was even difficult understanding what they were saying because I couldn't see their face or body language.
At some point, it was starting to get really annoying because I subconsciously tried to take off the blindfold, and I had to constantly remind myself that I was "blind" and I wasn't able to do just do that.

While blindfolded, I mostly just figured out things that I now wasn't able to do. Such as I wasn't able to distinguish between different sound as well as I usually do, which was actually really annoying. All sounds seemed louder than usual, but they were way harder to locate, and they tended to melt together. I couldn't use my computer, phone or iPad at all, which is a thing I do almost all the time. All in all this wasn’t a great experience, and I have a hard time understanding how people can live a normal life with such a handicap.
