Blind folded

Blindfolded:

It’s quiet, yet very much alive around me. Some of the noises I recognize but there are also some noises that I haven’t heard before, or at least not paid attention to. I hear the birds twitter outside and the cars racing by on the nearest road. I hear how the trees moves in the wind and I hear how to rain is pouring down from the sky. One of the weird noises, which I haven’t really heard before, is my fridge, it has this very notice able sound. It goes at little like brr, brr, brrrrrr, brrr and so on. I’m not sure if it’s the fact that the fridge can create ice cubes or if the fridge is having a bad day. So here, I am sitting in the dark and really having a nice silent and quiet moment

There wasn’t a lot going on at this time and I had pretty much located all the sounds, where they came from and what each of them were. Therefore, I decided to go outside. Still blindfolded I was able to get a jacket on, and some kind of boots, which there were too small for my feet. I opened the door, after a lot of struggle trying to locate the handle.

At this time I think my dog was very confused about what I was actually doing, however she decided to join me outside in the rain, which there was still pouring down. Once we got outside, I went out into my garden. I knew where there was a bench so I sat down. Now being outside had some of the noises which there inside had been a little bit quiet were now very loud. While being outside I found myself being more relaxed than while being inside. The birds kept twittering and the cars on the road had quiet down.

After being outside for 10 minutes,I thought it was time for going back inside. I struggled getting my jacket off, boots not so much. Now my phone rang in my pocket. An hour had passed and it felt like it had been much longer.

I enjoyed trying to being blindfolded for a while, but it is not something, which I would prefer being in longer periods. It was very different from my normal life I experienced different things.
